Description
A printing press stands between open type cases and a rack of drying sheets in this workshop jigsaw puzzle. Sunlight reaches across the wooden floor, catching the red ink roller and the pale paper waiting on the press bed.
The illustration holds the shop just before work begins. Small pieces of type make dense areas of detail, while the press gives the room a strong dark center. Broad geometric prints on the shelves and table offer a different route through the picture from the surrounding wood grain and plants.
